How much tax can I claim on a car of $ 30,000 dollars that I use for work?
I just started a small business and am looking to buy a car … A) promote my business (with company logos / stickers for marketing purposes) B) used to transport our products to customers on a fairly regular basis (at least once a day). Can anyone give me an idea how much I could support the claim at the end of the year? any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
I assumed that in this case you operate your small business as a sole trader. By claiming car expenses for work / business purposes, there are a number of methods you can use to work on an amount of tax deductible. The two methods generally yield the best results are the method cents per km and the method of the logbook.
