Decorating ideas for a closed fireplace?

My husband and I may be purchasing a new home w/a closed fireplace and I’m not sure what to do w/the old mantel/opening. I think it looks odd to have a fireplace w/a closed opening but we can’t afford to open it back up just yet.
I once saw a decal of burning candles that could be placed on the closed area but I have searched & searched and been unsuccessful in finding anything. Here is a link to the property w/pictures listed. Any tips or suggestions?
