I hope to rise or "cut" digitally printed (inkjet or laser) pictures on the slate and stone tiles. no ide
I know slide decal paper but want to avoid the hassle and the likelihood of dirt and dust surface staining – When I coating on the decal to protect it. I read on the baking special decals on ceramic pottery, and I wonder if a technical similar could be used on the slate. The rectangles will I use slate, however, be up to 24 "x 18". Then the recommended temperature of 1450 F to be performed in a classical interior oven?
You're right – Decoupage become dirty and impossible to clean. You're wrong – the domestic furnaces does not exceed about 500 degrees F. I think you have to go on the images with a glaze – a clear coating generally used to put pictures on things like coffee mugs. I am not sure that the slate would work in an oven, because I know that pottery are very careful not to have air bubbles in things, is heated in an oven (air in the bubble expands and explodes the pottery). You can use a ceramic tile instead of slate. I think you may be able to pay a manufacturer of pottery or an arts / crafts store to dismiss tiles for you. I think the idea is good, but the details need work.
