Protecting your car, truck, RV, boat or enemies such as ultraviolet light, damage to the ozone and weather is important if you want the look of your vehicle for a new concept, new look for a long period. You can accomplish this by applying a finish to protect the inner and outer surfaces of your vehicle to guard against damage caused by environmental elements as well as scratches, spills and stains.

Unfortunately, many car cleaning and wax seal on the market today May in fact contribute to damage your vehicle, especially if they contain petroleum distillates as ingredients. Petroleum distillates are used in cleaning cars because they dissolve waxes and silicones to make them spreadable. They will also be on the surface fat, fat light, and help lubricate the surface of your car to prevent scratches.

However, this is not the whole story. What they I do not say is that if the petroleum distillates used in cleaning your cars are not made properly, they can cause cracking plastic, rubber and vinyl. In addition, when applied to the new generation of softer, paints, water-based petroleum distillates can remove the sealant, leaving your paint vulnerable to aging effects of the environment.

They can also dissolve the glue on the back of stickers, stripes or lettering. Both 3M and Avery, manufacturers of tape back and stickers, specifically recommended not petroleum distillate using products based on their products.

Petroleum distillates are also with health risks. They can cause eye irritation, respiratory irritation and gastrointestinal irritation. And if you own a green car, you'll want to find an alternative to petroleum distillates, as they are clearly derived from crude oil.

Not all petroleum distillates cause problems, however. There are different grades of petroleum distillates, but unfortunately there is no way of knowing what type of distillate oil is used in any product you may want to use on your vehicle. The only way to be sure, therefore, is to minimize petroleum distillates.
