There are many traders out there who seem to be stuck using the old MLM methods. I suspect that there are two main reasons for that. The first reason May be they see no reason to try something new when what they have done is effective. The second reason could be afraid. Most people fear change and resist it. They prefer to stick to what they know.
However, this a harsh reality that the old ways of network marketing has a bad reputation. These include making a list of all your friends and family, cold calling, approaching strangers in the mall or supermarket
I prefer the new methods are much less intrusive. E-mail signatures, web stickers on vehicles, forum participation, article marketing, social networking. These new marketing methods to bring people to the marketer, compared to the reverse.
What a revelation! When prospects are interested in learn about your business, you have a much better chance to sign up. On the other hand, if you've chased and harassed them, they probably hoped just as you go.
Nobody wants to be sold, and they do not want the pressure of some desperate soul to get an opportunity business in which they have no interest. If your sponsor is your training in the old methods, I suggest you learn the FAST new ways!
People are (and always have been) extended by sellers. It's just a fact of life. Most sellers are considered as "suspicious." This is not necessarily an accurate representation of everyone in the industry, but it is a common attitude never-the-less.
However, if you use tactics that will attract people to you and your company, you lose this seller "image". The low-key tactics the new MLM is much more desirable for both the seller and the prospect.

If you post personal photos of you and your family, pets, etc., it gives your readers into your world. A relationship may begin to grow between you and your prospects.
Keep these things in mind if you are new to MLM. Use the methods that will attract people to you, and stay away from those you need to force information about others.
